No Massproduction
In our modern day society it is considered "normal" to throw away perfectly usuable goods of any kind. How often don't we see a TV at the garbage pickup and sometimes we wonder 'Does it work still ?........no can't be,.....otherwise they wouldn't throw it away . ' Well truth is, most of the timeTV's that have been thrown away do still work ! As do many other goods we so easily get rid off. At the same time all consumer goods get cheaper and cheaper at the expense of the environment and sometimes even human rights by producing them in countries where rules and regulatiions aren't as strict a in the western countries.
By taking these rejected but still 'working' goods and turning them into a handworked piece of furniture, good as new and ready for a new life, Zola Khadija helps the local environment.
